Return of the period drama set in London in the 1760s following Margaret Wells as she struggles to reconcile her roles as mother and brothel owner. Isaac and Hal Pincher have become the new owners of the Saracen's Head tavern, and have the ambition of taking over London bawdy houses. Meanwhile, Lucy tries to branch out on her own by joining forces with Elizabeth Harvey and her son Fredo, and Lydia Quigley continues to suffer the abandonment of her family
