Four new chefs compete, taking on skills tests set by judges Marcus Wareing and Anna Haugh. The first two chefs have just 20 minutes to make potato gnocchi served with hazelnut pesto while the other two make poached apricots and Chantilly cream with an almond tuile. Finally they all compete in the signature menu round in a last chance to impress and secure their place in the quarter-final
