Alan Carr takes charge tackling the first bedroom, and inspired by the romance and history of his favourite city Florence, he is determined to have a mural. However, co-renovator Amanda Holden fears his creative juices could turn into a flood. To nail his aesthetic, Alan travels to the outskirts of the Tuscan capital to meet a woman whose medieval home is decorated in rare 14th-century frescoes, and is encouraged to take down the ceiling to reveal any original features. After realising the existing furniture is riddled with woodworm, the duo head to the Gulf of Poets for inspiration
