Hugh Rowland and Rick Yemm take part in a convoy carrying one of the biggest loads ever to cross the Canadian ice as they transport three prefabricated sections of a new airport building to St Theresa Point in northern Manitoba. Having graduated from the simulator, rookie driver Maya Sieber is about to take on the ice road for the first time with veteran Phil Krom in the passenger seat. How will she fare?
