Gordon Buchanan visits Churchill, Manitoba, a Canadian town where humans live in close proximity to polar bears. For two months of every year, the animals gather in the area, waiting for sea ice to form so they can head north for their winter hunt. Gordon meets local police officers and refuse collectors who have to work in close proximity to the bears and meets a woman who was mauled on the town's main street
