Millionaire owner of a packaging company Rachel and her husband swap lifestyles with struggling Lyndsay and her 21-year-old daughter Katie, who are both recovering from serious health issues. During the week Lyndsay and Katie take on the work of a successful CEO, while Rachel, Steve and Amelia adjust to a life of chores and cheap pleasures, with the swap proving life-changing for both sides
