A group of strangers, including a drunken doctor, a pregnant army officer's wife and an embezzling bank clerk, embarks on a dangerous journey across hostile territory. They are joined by an outlaw, falsely accused of murder, who helps them when a Sioux war party attacks. Remake of John Ford's Western, with Bing Crosby and Ann-Margret
