Sunday finds preparations for Simon's 40th birthday in full swing - amid much stress levels. Larry arrives with a very hungover Melissa, who immediately disrupts proceedings. After an awkward lunch it's present time and Larry gives Simon a red leather jacket which, to Ray's delight, looks ridiculous on him. Eventually Melissa joins the party, but rejects Sue's food. Simon tries to defend his father's behaviour to Ray and an argument ensues until David drops a bombshell that makes Simon's birthday one he'll never forget.
