Fern Britton gives a window into the tiny close-knit community that call the Isles of Scilly their home, beginning with the Scilly60, a unique ultra marathon where runners race around each of the five inhabited islands within a strict time limit. If they're not quick enough on each stage, they'll miss the race ferry to the next island. Also featured are the world-famous Abbey Gardens on the island of Tresco. The Isles' subtropical climate means the gardens can sustain over 20,000 types of flora and fauna from more than 80 countries
