The first of a two-part investigation into the murder of a 54-year-old in January 2025. Jamie Gawler was found dead in his Hereford flat, sitting in an armchair with a towel draped over his face. The post-mortem revealed blunt force trauma to the head, neck and chest, with almost every rib broken. With no witnesses, the investigating team began to piece together the victim's final days and soon established he had recently allowed a stranger to stay. The police eventually caught up with the suspect, who had been released from prison just six weeks earlier - and had the words 'Natural Born Killer' tattooed across his back
