Helen Gilder and Henry Williamson return to Ormston for Tom's funeral, and Dr Logan is surprised to find that his ex-lover is married and happily settled in the village, prompting him to sabotage his own motorbike so he can be close to her for a while longer. Meanwhile, Deborah is struggling to accept Tom's death and she faces another difficulty when Henry offers to buy the hospital on behalf of the NHS, which leaves her wondering whether to leave the village for good
