Ten-year-old Magaidh is unhappy that her father has invited local teacher Ms Dunlop round for dinner. Magaidh's friend Dean is trying to pluck up the courage to ask her to the local dance. After he heads round to her house, Magaidh doesn't give him a chance to finish his question before Ms Dunlop arrives for the evening. Magaidh hatches a plot to sabotage the imminent date and enlists Dean's help. Burnt dinners, spoilt wine, soaking wet clothes and a very happy dog lead to an eventful evening for the two youngsters
