You're Cordially Invited
Weddings are supposed to be beautiful celebrations of love but preparations for a big day can heap stress upon the bride and groom as well as their loved ones. In writer-director Nicholas Stoller's raucous comedy, two different wedding parties discover they have been accidentally booked on the same day at the same dream venue. Jim (Will Ferrell) proudly confirms a June 1 date for his beloved daughter Jenni (Geraldine Viswanathan) to tie the knot at The Malmetto House. Margot (Reese Witherspoon) makes the same arrangements for her younger sister Neve (Meredith Hagner) and the two wedding parties arrive to discover the catastrophic administrative error. Rather than cancel their respective nuptials, Jenni and Neve agree to share the venue but Jim and Margot as determined that their ceremony will be the best and a frenetic game of one-upmanship spirals out of control
