America's JJ Spain was the victorious player last year, finishing two strokes clear of Scotland's Robert MacIntyre, having never previously finished in the top 20 of a Major. Viktor Hovland of Norway was third, while American day three leader Sam Burns had to settle for a share of seventh place after a disappointing round of 78
