Explorer Paul Rose sets off from Ladram Bay, heading for the chalk cliffs of Beer Head in South Devon. Here John Scott takes him underground on a tour of Beer Quarry caves, where until a few years ago limestone had been extracted for almost 2,000 years. Continuing along the coastal path to Charmouth, he learns about fossil hunting and ammonites and after enjoying the wild orchids in the ancient wildflower meadows of West Hay farm, begins the steep climb up to Golden Cap, the highest point on the path with stunning views along the Jurassic Coast
