Carlos Alcaraz will get proceedings under way on Centre Court, as is tradition for the reigning men's champion, having retained this title in 2024 by defeating seven-time champion Novak Djokovic in the showpiece match for the second year running. He overcame Mark Lajal 7-6, 7-5, 6-2 at this stage last year and was followed onto the show court by home favourite Emma Raducanu, who won 7-6, 6-3 against Renata Zarazúa
