FIFA World Cup 2026
Panama v England
Panama v England (Kick-off 10.00pm). Mark Pougatch presents coverage of the Group L match at New York/New Jersey Stadium in the USA, as the two sides play their final group game. Thomas Tuchel's team are aiming to make it out of the group stage for the third consecutive time at the finals, after reaching the semi-finals and quarter-finals in 2018 and 2022, respectively. This is just the second-ever meeting between the two countries, with the first coming in the group stage of the 2018 World Cup in Russia. That game was a memorable one for the Three Lions as they brushed their opponents aside with a 6-1 victory. Braces from Harry Kane and John Stones, as well as a goal from Jesse Lingard, gave England a 5-0 lead at half-time before Kane completed his hat-trick in the second period. Panama did create some history in the second half as they scored their first-ever goal at the World Cup finals thanks to a consolation finish from Felipe Baloy. With analysis from Roy Keane, Ian Wright and Gary Neville, pitchside inserts from Laura Woods, Emma Hayes and Karen Carney, commentary by Sam Matterface and Lee Dixon, and reports from Gabriel Clarke
