Naturalist Steve Backshall and Olympic gold medal-winning rower Helen Glover embark on an adventure through Japan's northern highlands. The couple, newly married as they filmed this documentary, set out on a route that sees them taking in ancient pilgrimage routes, a volcanic landscape, and unique wildlife in Tohoku, a largely rural region that seems lost in time.
