Kristy recently lost her dog, and has found it challenging to make new connections in her coastal suburb without a pooch by her side. Could eight-year-old corgi Maggel be the perfect seadog? Twenty-seven-year-old Nick is looking for a companion and housemate, with the help of his parents, Sue and Peter. Nick, who has a neurological disorder, has recently moved into his own house and is looking for a furry friend to join him in his newfound independence. Chihuahua Hugo is a firm favourite at the shelter, and Nick and his parents are instantly smitten too. But is this sweet, petite puppy the right fit for Nick? Recently widowed Ron is searching for a retirement buddy, with the help of his granddaughter Leah, who's concerned about her grandfather living on his own. Keen walker Ron needs a pooch who can keep up with him. Is Border collie cross Macca up to the job?
