During Edinburgh Festival, ambulance crew members Stephen and Gwion are called to treat a woman who has fallen on the Royal Mile and may have a broken ankle. Elsewhere in the city, Blair and Moira respond to a 999 call about an elderly woman who has become unresponsive and may have had a stroke. As strokes are time-critical, they assess her as quickly as possible and rush her to hospital. In the central belt, it's a hot Summer's day and the Special Operations teams are called to support the fire service at a major wildfire
