Mark Gatiss

An interview with the writer and actor, who first rose to prominence as part of sketch comedy troupe the League of Gentlemen, and has since contributed to series including Sherlock and Doctor Who. He discusses his childhood in County Durham, where his family lived across the road from a psychiatric hospital, and explains how his passion for horror and science fiction has shaped his life. He also recalls the difficulties he faced in coming out as gay, and reveals why the worst role of his career also served as an inspiration
