With an ageing population across the country, pressure on care for the elderly has never been so acute. Though some elderly people manage to stay at home with help, with the increase in dementia, the work being done in care homes is increasingly vital. Like the rest of Scotland one of the biggest issues facing the Western Isles is a lack of care workers. Young carers Isla Macleod and Flora Henderson work at the Trianaid care home while they were still in school and now are a valuable part of the care team in this 12-bed residential home
