Feature-length episode. Jack turns out to have a personal connection to the prime suspect in a teenage girl's murder, so he is taken off the case and replaced with another forensic scientist seconded to the Lyell Centre. But he finds himself instinctively drawn into the investigation, alienating himself from Nikki and the team as he tries to find an alibi for the supposed killer. Meanwhile, the victim's best friend is consumed with guilt, leading her to take drastic action.
