Abnormally high winds force the harbour to close, and the delays threaten to cost dear. Boatman Alan Cowper takes advantage of the downtime to take his daughter to try out for Scotland's under-15s football team - then faces an agonising wait to hear if she has got in - while vessel traffic services controller Ralph Greig decides a change of career is required. Out at sea, saturation diver Terry Dearlove begins the lengthy process of decompression - and with a North Sea storm looming, he wonders if he will get home in time for his daughter's 18th birthday
