The case of Mary McLaughlin, whose body was recovered from her Glasgow home in September 1984, a few days after she was seen in the company of a man in the city's Partick area. The post mortem revealed the 58-year-old had been strangled at least five days prior to being found. The investigation proved complex and it wasn't until 2019 that new techniques in DNA analysis helped lead to the arrest of a man. This documentary hears from the case's original detectives as well as contemporary officers and forensics experts who cracked the case to get justice for Mary's family
