Jay Blades and the team of experts meet David who brings along two notebooks from his teenage years containing writings and drawings inspired by JRR Tolkien alongside a handful of letters from the author himself. After 55 years the book has fallen into disrepair but bookbinder Chris Shaw promises to try work some magic on it. Dominic Chinea faces the task of repairing a vintage workbench for Rob who fondly remembers his late father using it to build him a sledge when he was a child. Evelyn and her granddaughter Keeley bring in a decrepit manicure set which they believe to have survived the Liverpool Blitz in 1941 having belonged to Evelyn's mother
