The Hunt for Hitler's Missing Millions

Berlin-born Jew Herman Rothman fled Germany as a 14-year-old just before the Second World War started and ended up working for the British Intelligence Corps. In 1945, he and his team translated documents seized from a suspected Nazi on the run and found them to be Adolf Hitler's personal and political wills, written hours before his suicide. This documentary examines this story and the subsequent quest to uncover the extent of the dictator's wealth and locate the money as well as revealing how he managed to copyright and sell his image rights and took payment for public appearances and speeches

The Hunt for Hitler's Missing Millions airs on 5SELECT at 12:00 AM, Monday 22 September. (Subtitles.)
