After overhearing that a routine visit to the vets is planned, Noel goes into hiding. The Sawdust family can't work out where he's disappeared to, and they search high and low around the garden and the house. Olga announces that she's going to find Noel and tells everyone the tale of legendary guinea pig detectives Dandelion Holmes and Parsley Watson. Using remarkable powers of deduction, Olga and Daisy realise that Noel is hiding from the vet trip, and Daisy has the idea to bring him out of hiding with a loud chorus of guinea pig squeaks!
