Season 1976
Noel Edmonds presents an edition originally broadcast on May 6 1976 - the week in which Abba's Fernando finally reached the top of the chart, after spending three weeks at number two. Cliff Richard performs his future top 10 single Devil Woman, and Robin Sarstedt sings My Resistance Is Low - a record which would prove to be his only UK hit. Ruby Flipper, who replaced Pan's People as the show's house dancers, make their debut, and the programme also features performances by Sutherland Brothers & Quiver, the Rolling Stones, Tina Charles, Mac & Katie Kissoon, Fox, Frankie Valli, Mud and Barry Manilow
TOTP: 1976 airs on BBC Four at 9:05 PM, Friday 30 January. (Subtitles.)
