In a programme first broadcast in 1995, the actress takes an affectionate look back at the Asian programmes she grew up watching with her family - not always willingly - that helped shape her and many others' childhoods and sense of belonging. Featuring cookery and music programmes as well as groundbreaking series like Nai Zindagi Nai Jeevan, which started out advising the UK's new arrivals how to adapt to everyday object like lamps, but quickly evolved into something far more significant
