The Dog House Australia
Season 4 Episode 9 of 12
The Perrow family are looking for the perfect pooch to act as a therapy dog for nine-year-old Teddy, who has autism and apraxia. Speaking is a challenge for Teddy, but his parents Marika and Jamie think a dog will aid his confidence and development, as well as enriching the lives of his brothers, Sonny and Cassidy. Cockapoodle Maggie wins the boys' hearts, but are her high energy levels and zesty personality too much for Marika and Jamie? Charbel and Senid have dreamed of owning a dog together since their first date. Now they're engaged and happy homeowners, and the only thing that's missing is a canine companion. King Charles Cavalier Brodi was recently surrendered to the shelter by his elderly owners, which has made him timid. Can Brodi come out of his shell to seek Charbel and Senid's seal of approval? Meanwhile, after losing his beloved chihuahua Matilda a year ago, Amata is ready to let another dog (or two!) into his heart. The matchmakers introduce Amata to bonded sisters Lisa and Shandy. But at thirteen-years-old, are the senior Aussie cattle dogs too old? Or is Amata ready to open his heart and his home to two old ladies who are well into retirement?
