Come Rain, Come Shine is a drama, centering on working-class ex-docker Don (Sir David Jason, A Touch of Frost). Family means everything to Don and he is fiercely proud of his wealthy son David, a property developer, whose flashy lifestyle is in sharp contrast to his parent's simple and unpretentious life. When the economic crunch hits, the truth about David's affluent life surfaces and facing financial ruin he moves back home. Don is determined to keep his family afloat, emotionally and financially, and in the process they all discover what is truly important to them in life.
