Jeanette Kwakye presents coverage of the opening session on day five from Alexander Stadium, where the heptathlon gets under way with the 100m hurdles and high jump. Belgium's Nafissatou Thiam won heptathlon gold for the third time two years ago in Rome, but Great Britain's two-time world champion Katarina Johnson-Thompson will be looking to win her first European title this time around. Other events taking place in this session include heats in the men's and women's 4x400m and men's 1500m.
