Four experienced chefs compete for a place in the quarter-final. Two of the chefs take on judge Marcus Wareing's skills test in which they have 20 minutes to break down a rack of pork into chops and serve one with a butterbean stew. The other two chefs prepare a plate of tempura vegetables with a Japanese style chilli mayonnaise in Anna Haugh's test. The four chefs then compete to impress the judges and secure their place in the competition in the signature menu challenge
