British star Jack Draper continued his fine form at last year's event by beating Félix Auger-Aliassime 5-7, 6-4, 6-4 to book his place in the quarter-finals, while there were also three-set victories for Hubert Hurkacz, Frances Tiafoe, and Holger Rune. The women's draw featured an all-American confrontation between Jessica Pegula and Taylor Townsend, and it was sixth seed Pegulaa who emerged triumphant via a 6-2, 6-3 scoreline
