The strongest chefs from the first two heats return for the opening quarter-final, and the Invention Test forces them to think on their feet and create a stand-out brunch dish, with one of them set to be eliminated. The remaining contenders must then raise their game yet again as they face the daunting task of cooking for three of the UK's most discerning restaurant critics - Jimi Famurewa, William Sitwell and Tom Parker Bowles
