According to his father, the Cliftons might be related to a mysterious woman called Matooski from the First Nations of Canada. This takes the dancer on an extraordinary journey to the country's remote 18th-century trading posts. The trek reveals that he comes from a long line of skilled and courageous female ancestors who survived - and thrived - against the odds
