First he tries out barefoot walking in the hills above Crickhowell with Lynne Allbutt - the first person to run barefoot across Wales. Then he walks around Bala Lake - the biggest lake in Wales - partly on the route of Mari Jones, who in 1800 walked 25 miles barefoot to buy a copy of the bible in Welsh
