The week's seven remaining contenders face the Market Challenge - where they are tasked with inventing a dish on the spot for judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace from a market full of ingredients - which on this occasion include Bavette steak, plaice and oysters. Later, as one contestant heads home, food critic William asks those remaining to cook a dish inspired by a favourite ready-bought food item - sweet or savoury. At the end of this episode only four contestants can go through to the quarter-final
