This tournament features the top 32 players in the European Tour Order of Merit, meaning 2024 title-winner Ritchie Edhouse became the first champion to fail to qualify for the event last year. Luke Humphries was among the players who did feature in round one, and he was in fine form as he whitewashed Krzysztof Ratajski 6-0 while recording a three-dart average of 109.98. James Wade also impressed at this stage last year, overcoming Mike De Decker 6-1
