Coverage of day three of the 126th staging of the Major, held this year at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, New York. Rory McIlroy and Brooks Koepka hold the record for the best to-par score with a score of 16-under-par. McIlroy did this in 2011 when he also won with the lowest aggregate score across the four rounds, while Koepka matched the record with his victory six years later. The American followed that up with another win at this event 12 months later, winning the tournament with a score of 1-over-par in 2017
