Coverage of the opening session on day three of the biennial event, held this year at Japan National Stadium in Tokyo. Emile Cairess is aiming to become the first British man to win a world marathon medal, with coverage starting five minutes after the race got under way. Also taking place is qualifying for the men's hammer and women's pole vault from 1.00 and 1.05 respectively, and the heats of the women's 3,000m steeplechase from 1.15 and 400m hurdles from 3.20.
