Stacey Dooley explores the lives of young people in three countries affected by the global financial crisis, beginning with Greece. Arriving in Athens, she realises the severity of the situation after encountering scavengers and soup kitchens and witnessing a suicide attempt. She also meets a couple facing huge medical bills after the complicated birth of their baby, attends a massive demonstration outside parliament that turns violent and accompanies a group taking over a train station in protest against price rises
