First into the Repair Shop is Alison who brings with her an 1890s ventriloquist's puppet called George. The puppet helped Alison grow in confidence and gave her an outlet for her undiagnosed dyslexia as a child but he's now broken both inside and out. Organ-restorer David Burville brings Kirsten Ramsay and the teddy bear ladies to help restore George to his former glory. Lewys from Wales brings in a brass cornet dating back to 1897 that has passed through generations of his family. What once filled his home with music is now completely unplayable, instrument expert Pete Woods gets to work. Nick from Somerset brings in the broken remains of a Roman-style chair that belonged to his late father Richard for upholsterer Sonnaz Nooranvary to repair. Book-restorer Chris Shaw is tasked with fixing up a notebook that once belonged to Kat's grandmother Mildred in the 1940s
