Early residents include Reverend William Fitzsimmons, an 18th-century Episcopal minister arrested for helping French prisoners escape Edinburgh Castle. There are also profiles of Francis and Isabella Ronaldson, the former a post office worker who spied on Glasgow weavers to detect signs of radicalism
