The re-emergence of strike action brings a winter of discontent as firefighters, nurses, teachers, air traffic controllers, council workers and rail employees all clash with the Government. MI5 closely monitors the situation, aware of the inherent dangers - but when it discovers a section of the British Army is planning a walk-out of its own, it faces a battle to ensure the stability and security of the country.
