South Korea v Czechia 12.06

South Korea v Czechia (Kick-off 3.00am). Laura Woods presents coverage of the Group A match at Guadalajara Stadium in Mexico. The Koreans are appearing at their 11th tournament in succession, and a 12th overall, and qualified after going unbeaten in 16 total matches across two rounds of qualifying in the Asian Confederation. Their best-ever performance at a World Cup saw them finish fourth in 2002 when they served as co-hosts alongside Japan, but since then they have failed to progress beyond the last-16, which was as far as they went four years ago in Qatar after suffering a 4-1 loss to Brazil in Doha. For Czechia, this is their first appearance at a World Cup since 2006 in Germany, and they were made to work hard for their place as they finished second in their qualifying group behind Croatia, which led to a place in the play-offs where they triumphed twice in penalty shootouts against Republic of Ireland and Denmark after both games ended in 2-2 draws. With analysis from Karen Carney and Jobi McAnuff, and commentary by Seb Hutchinson and Andros Townsend
