Drag Race’s celebrity line-up: Singer Charlotte Church

Charlotte Church rose to fame as a child prodigy. She became one of the most successful classical singers of the late 1990s and early 2000s. She was praised for having the “voice of an angel”, which helped her sell millions of records worldwide. As she grew older, Charlotte reinvented herself as a pop star. Her hit included Crazy Chick and Call My Name, before she eventually went on to pursue a more folky indie sound.

Now 39, Charlotte is a mother of three and passionate activist. She often speaks out on social issues including education reform and climate change. She is married to Jonathan Powell, who she met in 2010. The pair went on to tie the knot on the grounds of their home in Dinas Powys, Wales, seven years later. These days Charlotte runs The Dreaming, a retreat in rural Wales. She offers workshops on nature, spirituality and wellness.

Charlotte is currently working on new music she says was inspired by themes of nature and sisterhood. She aims to release these songs in 2026. Charlotte will also be appearing in Celebrity Traitors on the BBC this autumn,

Actor Dani Harmer is also in the RuPaul celebrity lineup for series 7

Dani Harmer: Actress

Dani Harmer became a household name at just 12 years old when she starred in the hit CBBC drama, The Story of Tracy Beaker. She played the feisty titular lead character, Tracy. Dani went on to reprise her role in multiple spin-offs, including My Mum Tracy Beaker. The actress is 35 now, and balances acting work with running her own performing arts school.

Dani has also appeared on Strictly Come Dancing and toured the country with various theatre productions. Away from the spotlight, she is a devoted mum of two. Dani inspired her daughter Avarie-Belle to give acting a go, but the young girl quickly realised she was not interested in being on stage.

Dani joked to the BBC: “One day, she may turn round and say she wants to go back into acting and I will support her 100 per cent, but also, if she wants to get a job that’s a bit more financially stable and put me in a nice care home when I’m older, that’s also fine!”
