Is Zoe suffering a psychotic break? As Anthony shares his shock diagnosis, she faces her traumatic past tomorrow

Anthony's seriously worried about Zoe
Joel Harley

Anthony Trueman became convinced that Zoe is suffering a psychotic break in EastEnders tonight (Wednesday, October 29), as she lashed out at those around her. Zoe was feeling paranoid after discovering a defaced picture of herself and Kat last night – having very much taken it as a threat.

Clashing with Vicki and Anthony, Zoe only grew more convinced that someone is out to get her. And, as Zoe exploded at the patrons of The Vic, Anthony shared a worrying diagnosis with Kat.

He fears that she’s going through a psychotic break – but is he right?

Zoe lashed out at Vicki and Anthony in EastEnders tonight

Halloween had fallen in Albert Square, and Kat was feeling tender after the night before. She and Zoe were still at each other’s throats, with Kat accusing her daughter of destroying the picture herself. Morning went from bad to worse when Alfie discovered that a sewer pipe had burst in the barrel store.

Tidying up with Ross, Alfie discovered an old videotape from Slater family history – 1988, to be exact.

Zoe, meanwhile, was making no shortage of enemies. With Stacey gone, Jean was feeling the pressure, and blaming Zoe. And, in the cafe, Vicki confronted her over the events of last night.

Zoe was quick to blame Vicki for destroying the picture – only for Anthony to step in and play the saviour. He offered her a place to stay at the Truemans’, which she gladly accepted – only for him to to ruin it by asking whether he was the father of her twins.

This, Zoe vehemently denied (she’d been on the pill, plus the dates don’t add up), before storming off in another sulk.

Zoe had a Halloween scare in EastEnders tonight

Back home, Alfie attempted to put on a reconciliation between Zoe, Kat and Jean. As Zoe once again denied destroying the picture, mother and daughter began to set aside their differences – with Zoe agreeing to stick around.

Jean wasn’t on board with this show of reconciliation though – and lashed out at Kat for siding with Zoe. Back to the drawing board, then.

That evening, Alfie set about hosting a scary movie night at The Vic, and had sourced a video player from Ross (via the local skip). Meanwhile, concerned about Zoe, Anthony attempted to share his worries with Kat – although she initially brushed them all off.

As Zoe joined the rest of her family downstairs, Kat took the time to apologise to Vicki and Zack – who promised there’d be no beef, on their part. One disaster averted, Kat managed to stop Alfie from playing the tape, out of fear of what feelings it’d dredge up in Zoe.

Somebody put the tape on, though, and Zoe was horrified to see footage of the Slater family – including the vile Uncle Harry – projected all over The Queen Vic. Exploding in fury at the sight of her evil father, she accused Vicki again, before chucking everyone out.

This raised more red flags for Anthony who, as Zoe stropped off (again), re-iterated his concern to Kat. “These are the signs of a psychotic break!” he warned.

Is someone out to get Zoe? Or is she suffering the early stages of a psychotic break?

As the story continues tomorrow, Zoe accuses Anthony of being responsible for playing the tape. When she kicks him out of the pub, he goes to see Kat, and reiterates his concern for her mental well-being.

Later, with Jean looking after Lily and baby Charli, Kat settles down with Tommy and Zoe to watch the video.

How will Zoe react to the footage within?

OMG! Apple TV+ finally uncorks trailer for Drops of God series 2, the greatest show no one has ever heard of

Drops of God series 2 at last has a thrilling trailer, with the second series of Apple TV+'s greatest ever show coming out in January.

Bold statement saying it's Apple TV+'s best show? Better than Slow Horses? Trust us, Drops of Gods is epic even if it might sound a terrible idea for a TV show! I mean the first series was an eight-part French-Japanese drama set in the world of wine. It didn't exactly scream hit yet almost everyone who watched it loved it.

Drops of God series 1 has a coveted 100% Rotten Tomatoes audience rating. People were hooked by the story of a young French woman inheriting her late father's epic wine collection if she completes a series of tasting tasks. But she must compete against a brilliant young Japanese wine expert. And worst still she's allergic to wine!

Here's everything we know about Drops of God series 2 and why if you've not seen series 1 it's an absolute must. Please note the plot section contains spoilers if you've not seen the first series.

Is there a Drops of God series 2?

Yes, Apple TV+ finally announced there would be a second series in 2024. The first series went out in 2023 and it looked like it would be a one off. Indeed, it was originally envisaged as being one series.

However, Drops of God became a word of mouth hit and won the International Emmys Awards for Best Drama series in 2024.

Still, fans feared series 2 might not happen as there was a long wait between the show being given the green light and any further news.

Drops of God is adapted from the New York Times bestselling Japanese manga series of the same name.

Who is in the cast?

Fleur Geffrier returns as Camille Léger, the estranged daughter of famous wine expert Alexandre Léger (Stanley Weber, who also returns). After his death in series 1, she discovered that she had a vast wine inheritance and she headed to Tokyo to claim it. Fleur Geffrier also starred in the German series Das Boot.

Tomohisa Yamashita is also back as Issei Tomine, Alexandre's wine prodigy who Camille must beat in the wine tests to claim her inheritance. Drops of God is Tomohisa's biggest role outside of Japan, where he is a household name.

Slow Horses series 4 actor Tom Wozniczka again plays Thomas Chassangre, a French wine expert who helped Camille refine her wine tasting skills in series 1. He also served as a love interest for Camille.

What is the plot of Drops of God series 2?

So, series 1 followed Camille and Issei compete in a string of wine tasting challenges. The winner would get Léger's incredible wine collection, the largest and most valuable in the world. But why would he put his estranged daughter through this? Well, in a massive twist it was revealed at the end of the first series that Camille and Issei were brother and sister!

In Drops of God series 2, the story jumps three years ahed and shows the pair joining forces. They are set a new quest by their late father: they must uncover the origin of the world's most wonderful wine. Their father declares he failed to ever find the wine and it's their duty to succeed where he did not. The pair race across France, Italy and Japan as they seek out the wine.

But series 2 promises to be darker than the original. In the trailer, a mysterious figure strikes someone in a vineyard. We also see the police pull a body out of the water.

The makers tease: "As the search pushes them to the edges of the world, and to the darkest corners of themselves, Camille and Issei must decide how much they are willing to sacrifice. The answer could shatter their bond as siblings … or destroy them both."

Why Drops of God is such a great watch

Like many people, I finally watched Drops of God after a friend recommended it. It just sounded crazy. How are they going to make a drama out of wine tasting? Well they did and it's exquisite. You don't need to know anything about wine to enjoy it. Indeed, the series essentially gives you a free wine-tasting course!

Both the leading characters, Camille and Issei are magnetic. You begin by rooting for Camille, whose late father forced her to tase wine as a child which led to her having a deep wine aversion. Issei initially comes across as a wine tasting robot. He seems to have no emotion. But the series beautifully draws you into his story. You discover why he's the way he is.

By the middle of the series you don't want either of them to loose. Revelations about both leading characters are expertly dropped in throughout building to a truly satisfying end. It's rare to come away from a drama and think that all makes perfect sense.

It also looked stunning. The locations were fabulous. Plus, it was so unique. There's nothing I've ever seen quite like it. This wasn't just another cop drama, this was something entirely different. All the key cast put in great performances and there was also humour thrown into the mix. The series also gave you a sense of escape.

The only concern is the first series was so great, how can the second series match it? Well, the trailer certainly draws you in and we're sure there will be plenty of twists ahead.

Do they drink real wine on Drops of God?

No! Not surprisingly the cast don't drink real wine while making Drops of God. Having the cast drunk probably wouldn't help much with production!

Star Fleur Geffrier explains: "When we're on set, we are drinking water with colour in it, so it has no taste. But the character is always explaining what she is experiencing, what she is feeling when she tastes. So I try to connect to her sensation: 'What does the idea of citrus make me feel inside? What does that feel like physically? What is the memory I have linked to that?'"

But as a viewer you can of course enjoy a glass of real wine. We wouldn't recommend drinking coloured water.

When's the start date? How can I watch it?
