Loose Women fans will be left gutted today when they switch on the telly to find the show isn’t on – but why?

Earlier this year, the lunchtime favourite was hit with a huge schedule change and viewers have only recently got used to it being on again.

But sadly, Loose Women is back off air again today. And for the second time in less than a fortnight!

So what is going on and when will it be back? Here’s what we know…

Why is Loose Women is not on today?

Loose Women has been pulled from ITV today (Tuesday June 16, 2026) due to a schedule change in the broadcaster’s Daytime programming.

The lunchtime ladies have been given the day off due to the horse racing at Royal Ascot in Berkshire.

Sitting in Loose Women’s usual lunchtime slot of 12.30pm, viewers will instead find This Morning. The show, presented by Cat Deeley and Ben Shepard, has been given an extra 30 minute runtime.

This Morning will be followed by today’s ITV’s Lunchtime News & Weather and the local news and weather in your area.

Then, at 1.30pm, it will be time for ITV Racing Live: Royal Ascot.

Francesca Cumani and Ed Chamberlin will be presenting all the coverage from Ascot. There will be analysis from Jason Weaver and Adele Mulrennan, and reports from Matt Chapman, Oli Bell, Rishi Persad and Luke Harvey.

Richard Hoiles will be providing commentary and, given the glamour of the event, ITV daytime’s Mark Heyes and Charlotte Hawkins will be presenting lifestyle segments.

ITV Racing Live continues all afternoon on ITV1 until 6pm today.

When is Loose Women on again?

Sadly for fans, Monday’s episode of Loose Women is all you are getting this week. The Royal Ascot coverage means it is off air now until after the weekend.

Ruth Langsford said at the end of yesterday’s show: “That’s it for today. And for the rest of the week, actually. Loose Women is off because of Ascot.

“We’ll be back in a week’s time. But I’m actually going to be back on Friday, because I’m covering Lorraine. Loose Women is back on Monday.”

Loose Women will return in its usual 12.30pm lunchtime slot on Monday June 22, 2026.

Less than two weeks ago, the show was pulled for a day due to the racing in Epsom, Surrey.

But in March, the ladies disappeared from screens for a whopping six weeks. This is due to bloodbath cuts at ITV Daytime, which means the show – and Lorraine – is now only airing for around a total of 30 weeks across the year.

At least you don’t have six weeks to wait this time, though. Phew!
