Kaye Adams reveals why Loose Women is not on today as ITV daytime show is hit with big schedule change
The ladies have gone missingLoose Women fans will be left gutted today when they switch on the telly to find the show isn’t on – but why?
Earlier this year, the lunchtime favourite was hit with a huge schedule change and viewers have only recently got used to it being on again.
But sadly, Loose Women is back off air again today. Boo!
So what is going on and when will it be back? Here’s what we know…
Why is Loose Women is not on today?
Loose Women has been pulled from ITV today (Friday June 6, 2026) due to a schedule change to the broadcaster’s Daytime programming.
The lunchtime ladies have been given the day off due to the horse racing in Epsom, Surrey.
Sitting in Loose Women’s usual lunchtime slot of 12.30pm, viewers will instead find today’s ITV’s Lunchtime News & Weather. This is followed by the local news and weather in your area.
At 1pm, it will be time for ITV Racing Live.

Francesca Cumani and Ed Chamberlin will be presenting all the coverage from The Oaks races. There will also be analysis from Jason Weaver and Adele Mulrennan, reports from Matt Chapman, Oli Bell, Rishi Persad and Mick Fitzgerald. Richard Hoiles will be providing commentary.
ITV Racing Live continues all afternoon on ITV1 until 5pm today.
Loose Women star Kaye Adams actually made an announcement about the switch-up at the end of yesterday’s episode.
She told viewers: “That’s it for today. There’s no Loose Women tomorrow as ITV heads to the races.”
When is the ITV lunchtime show on next?
The good news is, you don’t have long to wait for your next episode of Loose Women. Thankfully, this latest break isn’t anywhere near as long as the previous one!
In March, the ladies disappeared from screens for a whopping six weeks. This is due to bloodbath cuts at ITV Daytime, which means the show – and Lorraine – is now only airing for around a total of 30 weeks across the year.
You don’t have six weeks to wait this time, though. Phew!
Loose Women will return to ITV1 at 12.30pm on Monday June 8, 2026. The show will also be continuing on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday next week at the same time too. There is no horse racing scheduled for next week.
